Mobile, Alabama Courthouse Elopement | Laken + Tyeler

Elopements

Last year I had the opportunity to photograph this fun, laid-back courthouse elopement in Mobile, Alabama for my good friends Laken and Tyeler. It involved a quiet morning in their home together, a simple courthouse wedding, and a private picnic followed by an intimate exchange of vows. If you are looking to elope close to home or in your favorite city their elopement is perfect inspiration. Keep reading below for the details!

Laken and Tyeler’s wedding day started off slow and relaxed. Laken had her hair and makeup done at a local salon. Then she put on her wedding dress and met Tyeler at the Spring Hill College campus for their first look! They even brought their dog along for the photos, which was so fun.

Next, the couple changed into different outfits and headed to the courthouse to officially turn in their paperwork and become husband and wife. Afterwards, they went outside of the courthouse for a celebratory champagne toast!

Post – Ceremony

After the ceremony, Laken and Tyeler headed back to Springhill to enjoy a picnic. Their picnic was complete with a charcuterie spread, champagne, snacks, and cake. While they ate, they read sweet letters of prayers, advice, and well wishes written to them by friends and family. Having your friends and family write letters is a great way to incorporate loved ones into your wedding day – even if they aren’t there in person!

The Pensacola Picnic Company set up the most beautiful picnic. They are a wonderful company to check out if you are in the south Alabama and Florida area, and want to incorporate a picnic into your big day! After the picnic, the couple exchanged intimate vows as the sun set over the golf course.

Once they exchanged vows, Laken and Tyeler headed to their favorite restaurant to enjoy dinner, read the rest of their letters, and take in the joy of their new commitment to each other.

Throughout the day they made time for several Facetime sessions with loved ones, which is another great way to include those who can’t be present at your event. This elopement was relaxed, fun, and incorporated all their favorite things – including their sweet pup!

For couples wanting to get married locally, this type of elopement is the perfect way to make the day meaningful. You can easily customize the experience to your location and create a special day no matter what city you live in!
