This all-inclusive, Jamaica destination wedding at Sandals Ochi Resort was stunning! Keep reading for all the details of this couple’s mini-vacation wedding.
Tyler and Caleb decided to have a destination wedding at Sandals Ochi Resort in Jamaica! This awesome couple met in September of 2017 at Odalys and have been inseparable ever since. Their favorite thing to do is go on dates together. A fun fact about the engagement: Caleb had Tyler’s engagement ring for 4 months before he proposed!
The Rehearsal Dinner
They had around 10 of their closest friends and family there. Most of them arrived that Wednesday or Thursday and then the rehearsal dinner was on Friday night at the resort. The rehearsal was super fun – it gave everyone a chance to relax and get excited for the wedding on Saturday.
Getting Ready
The morning of the ceremony, the couple had a really chill day. Tyler is a makeup stylist so she did her own hair and makeup for the wedding, which ended up being so stunning! While she was getting ready, Tyler had her best friend there helping her. Before the wedding she wrote a letter to each of the people that came for the wedding. She gave out the notes right after she got ready and it was so sweet and sentimental. Notes are such a fun way to incorporate friends and family into your day.
*Tip: This is also a cool way to incorporate friends and family who aren’t able to attend the ceremony! Ask them to write a note and then read it on the morning of the ceremony*
The Ceremony
After Tyler got ready, we did some bridal portraits and then headed to the ceremony spot under the water bungalow at the resort. The ceremony was so beautiful! After the ceremony, we took some golden hour photos around different spots on the resort.
The Reception
The reception followed shortly after the ceremony, starting with a wonderful cocktail hour with snacks and appetizers. They had their reception dinner in the garden area of the resort which was so stunning. After dinner, they had their first dances and then cut their cake, which lead to the after-party! They brought in a DJ and everyone danced and celebrated. It ended up raining so we relocated to a different spot that was covered and the party continued.
This destination wedding was super special for this couple. The benefit of an all-inclusive, destination wedding is that everyone who attends gets a mini vacation! Sandals took care of everything from the booking process to the transportation, check-in, food and drinks, and more. It was really nice for guests to be able to come and enjoy their time and not have to worry about anything once they arrived!
