Lisa and Peter first reached out to me about their wedding at a Chicago venue. They were planning a luxury, elegant wedding at The Geraghty – an absolutely beautiful event space! Keep reading to find out how they put a fun twist on their traditional wedding experience!
While discussing the best photography package for Lisa and Peter, I mentioned that they could add on an adventure session, which they had never heard of. I explained that it was a great option for couples to take elopement-style photos in a unique location in addition to having their traditional wedding day photos to look back on.
They decided that adding on an epic and unique photoshoot to their wedding package was the perfect way to document and celebrate their marriage, so we added on the adventure session and started planning!
The Wedding Day
Lisa and Peter’s had their wedding ceremony in May at the sophisticated Geraghty in Chicago. The florals and decor were just stunning!
The wedding party got ready at the venue, and then hopped in a rented bus that took them to multiple locations in downtown Chicago for photos.
A sweet ceremony was held at the venue after the photos. The wedding guests then enjoyed a cocktail hour with hor d’oeuvres while the ceremony space was flipped into their reception space!
Lisa and Peter served their guests with a delicious, multiple course plated dinner at the reception followed by a beautiful cake with a custom topper.
The couple took dance classes before their wedding and surprised everyone with a choreographed first dance. Then Peter and his groomsmen surprised Lisa with a choreographed dance just for her!
The day was sophisticated and sweet with florals that were out of this world beautiful, amazing food, and a super fun reception!
The Adventure Session
We met back up in October in Kauai, Hawaii for Lisa and Peter’s adventure session. They brought their wedding attire and celebrated their marriage with beautiful Hawaii photos.
They got their traditional wedding photos plus a unique adventure session in Hawaii that then turned into their honeymoon!
This was the perfect way for them to have both experiences captured in photos to look back on for years to come!
