This snowy Colorado mountain elopement was a true winter wonderland! From the snow covered trees, to her stunning white dress, to the snow covered bouquet. If you’ve ever wanted a winter adventure elopement this is it!
Abigail and Chris, who just happen to be from Alabama too, reached out to me after getting engaged because they wanted to elope in Colorado. Over the next few months we worked together to plan the perfect elopement day for just the two of them! The got to Colorado a few days before the elopement to get settled in and explored, and stayed in Colorado a few days after as a mini honeymoon! Chris and Abigail started dating in 2015. They met in high school in Mississippi and now live in Mobile, AL. They share a love of traveling, and got engaged on Sunset Cliffs in San Diego!
The day before their elopement I met up with Abigail and Chris to scout out some locations and make a game plan for their wedding day. We rode around looking for the best spots to take their photos, and actually got stuck in the snow in the process! (Thankfully a few nice locals helped us out haha)
First Look & Ceremony
The next day we met up early in the morning for their sunrise first look and ceremony. For the first look and ceremony Abigial wore sleeves with her dress that were made by her grandmother. The lace sleeves made for such a special addition to their wedding. After the ceremony Abigail and Chris headed back into town to warm up, get lunch, and relax.
Getting Ready
A few hours later I joined them at their AirBnB to take some getting ready and detail photos.

Once they were ready, we headed out again for their sunset session.
Since pizza is one of their favorite foods, we went by a local restaurant and ordered some pizza for them to take to their last location. At the final location they enjoyed dinner, read letters from their friends and family, signed their marriage certificate, and watched the sun set.
To extend their trip and soak in all that Colorado had to offer Abigail and Chris decided to turn their destination elopement into their honeymoon and spent a full week exploring Colorado after their ceremony!
